Over 100 Saudi Teachers Returning Home with the Knowledge of Finnish Education System

On 29th of November 116 Saudi teachers celebrated the end of six months long training programme in Finland. The teachers are returning to their home country with the aim to implement what they have learned in developing schools and the educational system in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The main goal of the programme has been to enhance the teachers’ pedagogic know-how. The programme included English language training, pedagogical studies, and a school immersion period. During the immersion the teachers got a first-hand experience of the functions in Finnish schools.

The programme was arranged in concert by Helsinki University Centre for Continuing Education HY+, Finland University, and Omnia Education Partnerships (OEP). The programme was financed by the Ministry of Education of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
